Montevideo has a mild climate, with moderate heat from September to April and moderately cold
weather from May to August.
The fact that the downtown area is located on Gral. Artigas Blvd. provides clear access advantages. So visitors
have to cover considerably shorter distances to any point of interest.

From the Artigas Blvd. visitors can have direct access to the main national routes
that lead to different places of tourist interest in the country.
- Route 1: Montevideo - La Suiza - Colonia with maritime connection to
Buenos Aires / Argentina. It runs along the La Plata River.
- Route 3: Montevideo - Soriano, Paysandú and International Bridges
connecting with Argentina, running along the Uruguay River to the Artigas
Department in the border with Brazil.
- Route 5: It crosses the country from south to north, up to the city of
Livramento in the border with Brazil.
- Route 9: Runs along the Atlantic coastline, through the main seaside
resorts in the country (Atlántida - Piriápolis - Punta del Este - La
Paloma, etc.) and ends in the city of Chuy, in the border with Brazil.

• in the annex building the Student's Hostel
